Modern Family is most to re-cast the role of Lily, daughter of Mitchell and Cameron.
United states producers have posted a casting notice for the role, asking for an "Asian, 3- to 4-year-sometime daughter of Mitchell and Cameron."
Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell) said earlier this year that a recast was possible, since Lily is supposed to be a lot older by now.
The casting notice also said the position was for a series regular.
The function of Lily is currently played by twins Jayden and Ella Hiller. About to become fired twins Jayden and Ella Hiller.

Aww that's a shame, they were lovely. They'll cast some precocious deviling, probably.

They were the most poised and unphased screen infants i have ever seen, and considering how young they were from the pilot, they accept suited the construct of the show perfectfy – until at present plainly. The children seemed to cope so well with those scenery chewers Eric and Jesse! This is the first i have read nearly a timeline modify for the serial. It will be interesting to encounter what ensues – i love the show!

@Mag – what'southward your problem with the show, you practise know families do come in more than the 'normal' mom, dad and 2.5 kids right?
Then if they are jumping a couple of years, how does it affect the other kids on the show?

Simply had a squiz at that episode and nope no smile. Watching a scene with lily in it i have to ask myself, whats the difference between a baby and a prop?
@ justin, gotta say that yep she does smile, notably when gloria picks her up subsequently cam and mitchell announce that jay and gloria are her guardians. No, she doesn't smile a lot, but I can remember of many times when she did.

Couldn't hold more Justin. I know they're babies, merely seriously an ounce of screen testing would accept showed these kids to exist very sedate/unemotional indeed. And that's fine, but not for TV!!
It seems similar forever since there was a new episode of this show, although with all the repeats TEN was offering i couldn't tell the deviation
Peachy move not only considering of the age affair, simply only every bit a casting decision, one of the worst infants to e'er characteristic on telly. Myself and friends noticed that never ever, did we run into the character of Lily smile, got to the point of annoying.
Aww, no!! I knew they were thinking about it but I hoped they wouldn't change. I guess they have to if Lily is meant exist older and will have to starting time talking and stuff in the context of the testify; but nevertheless. Sad.
